State College, PA—To kick off the weekend of ComiCon, The Happy Valley Comic and Collectible Convention is bringing the film Se7en to Happy Valley. Sponsored by Happy Valley Sports and Entertainment Alliance, the film will be put on display at the Friedman Auditorium, followed by a Q&A with the film’s screenwriter, Andrew Kevin Walker.

Se7en follows the story of two detectives, one about to retire and the other a novice. They both find themselves investigating a series of murders believed to be linked to the seven deadly sins. Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt play the two detectives in this story, and put on a masterful performance, showcasing Walker’s vision. The film earned Walker a BAFTA nomination for Best Screenplay.

Andrew Kevin Walker was raised in Altoona, PA. He graduated from Penn State University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts in film and video. Walker has gone on to write for several other notable films such as 8mm (1999), Sleepy Hollow (1999), and many more! He continues to be an influential figure in the film industry.

Whether it’s your first time seeing this iconic film, or a rewatch, you can join us at the Friedman Auditorium on Friday, February 28th at 7:00 PM. Tickets are on sale for those who want to stay after and listen to Walker answer questions on the film.
