STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — The weekend of January 27-28th, 2024, marked the return of the Happy Valley Rally, hosted by We Build You Play Sports Group (WBYP). Volleyball enthusiasts experienced a dynamic display of skill and camaraderie at two premier facilities: C3 Sports and the Nittany Valley Sports Centre.

Building on the success of the previous year, the 2023 event at C3 Sports drew 60 teams and nearly 1,000 spectators, creating an electric atmosphere of competition. The tournament's impact was substantial, generating almost 600 room nights and contributing over $950,000 to the local economy.

Gianna Savarese, WBYP’s Director of Events, highlighted “Happy Valley has been and continues to be an ideal location for not only our volleyball players, but also their families and our tournament staff.”

The strategic expansion to a multi-facility set-up not only accommodated more teams but also enhanced the overall experience for spectators, creating a true volleyball showcase.

With teams joining from across the East Coast, the Happy Valley Rally showcased a competitive edge, emphasizing the positive influence it has on both the local sports community and the regional economy.

As we reflect on the weekend’s success, the anticipation builds for future editions, promising an even more thrilling showcase of talent and sportsmanship.
