IRONMAN 70.3 Pennsylvania Happy Valley Nominated for “Best New Sports Event”

State College, PA, Sept. 6, 2023 – IRONMAN® 70.3® Pennsylvania Happy Valley has earned a nomination for "Best New Sports Event" from the industry publication SportsTravel. This nomination stands as a testament to the hard work put forth by volunteers, organizers, and participants.

This recognition follows the resounding success of the inaugural event, which witnessed an impressive 2,408 participants from 42 U.S. states and 8 countries taking on the challenge on July 2, 2023.

Participants set out on a demanding 70.3-mile course, which included a 1.2-mile swim, a 56-mile bike ride, and a 13.1-mile run. The event received a remarkable score of 92/100 in a post-event survey conducted among athletes, marking it as one of the highest-rated first-time IRONMAN®-branded events.

Save the date for the event's return on June 30, 2024. IRONMAN® 70.3® Pennsylvania Happy Valley is a truly unique spectacle that unites every aspect of the local community.
