From Script to Screen In Happy Valley
The Happy Valley Adventure Bureau’s Film Production Manager, Pablo Lopez, CFC, continues to build momentum in bringing film projects to Centre County and beyond. A Penn State graduate in Film/Cinema/Video Studies, Lopez founded Dark Mind Productions in 2015 before joining the Happy Valley Adventure Bureau in 2019. In September 2024, he earned his Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI) certification, becoming a certified film commissioner. Over the years, he has worked on projects ranging from music videos to feature films, while also serving as a consultant across the industry.
In addition to his production work, Lopez has been fostering collaboration with film groups across Pennsylvania. In recent weeks, he attended the Lake Effect Film Festival in Erie, PA, where he connected with founder Katie Nixon, met with the Erie Film Commission, and attended FACTS Fest to explore new opportunities for statewide partnerships.
One of the latest projects coming to Happy Valley is Just One More, a feature film produced by Twinbolt Media. The film explores the realities of addiction, faith, and redemption through the story of Charles, a dying man seeking to share his last bit of wisdom, and Jess, a young woman recently out of rehab. Their unexpected connection sparks a journey of hope, healing, and spiritual renewal.
Twinbolt Media, founded by Penn State Master’s alum Kaleb Cook and his twin Kyler Cook, is an award-winning production company known for its impactful faith-based storytelling. With Kaleb’s background in event production and filmmaking and Kyler’s writing and directing expertise, the company has produced two award-winning short films and is now expanding into feature-length work.
Lopez is collaborating with Twinbolt Media to support the production of Just One More, helping the team maximize all that Centre County has to offer—from locations and lodging to community connections.
