A national championship is coming to Happy Valley, and tourism officials expect it to be a big win for the area. The Ironman 70.3 Pennsylvania Happy Valley has been running for several years, with Race Director Josh Cone saying they have seen thousands of participants. Now the organization announced that Happy Valley will be hosting the Ironman 70.3 North American Championship June 14, 2026. IRONMAN has announced that the IRONMAN® 70.3® Pennsylvania Happy Valley triathlon has been selected to host the IRONMAN 70.3 North American Championship in 2026. The IRONMAN 70.3 PA HV has not only brought tremendous success to Happy Valley by attracting guests from near and far, but it has also strengthened the community. Each year, 1,000 dedicated volunteers come together, embodying the spirit of the race by contributing their time, energy, and positivity. Without their support, the event simply wouldn’t be possible.

Though the athletes who competed in this year’s Ironman 70.3 Pennsylvania Happy Valley were the stars of the show, the spotlight shown on them would not have been possible without the hundreds of volunteers who gave their time and talents to make the event a success.

On Sunday, June 30, athletes will visit Happy Valley to test their physical and mental limits. They will complete a 1.2-mile swim, a 56-mile bike and a 13.1-mile run in succession. We appreciate your support and ask that you proceed with caution, utilize detour routes if able, and allow for additional travel time to your destination. Participants count on you for motivation on race day, so bring your friends and cheer them on, or even volunteer!
