USA Field Hockey Returns to Happy Valley

Exciting News: Happy Valley to Host 2024 USA Field Hockey National Indoor Tournament Qualifier at Nittany Valley Sports Centre, Proud Home of the Local Blue Lions Field Hockey Club!

State College, PA | December 7, 2023 Excitement is building in Happy Valley as State College gears up to host a site for the 2023-24 U-16/U-19 Girls National Indoor Tournament Qualifiers (NITQ), presented by YOLO Sportswear. Set to take place on January 6-7, 2024, at the Nittany Valley Sports Centre, this event promises to be a thrilling showcase of top-tier field hockey talent.

The National Indoor Tournament Qualifiers (NITQ) are an integral part of the qualifying journey for the highly anticipated 2024 National Indoor Tournament (NIT), presented by YOLO Sportswear. Happy Valley has proudly been selected as one of the host locations, with up to 48 teams converging on the region for a chance to secure a coveted spot at the 2024 NIT.

The NITQ tournaments provide an exciting platform for U-16 and U-19 Girls divisions, allowing standout indoor club teams from across the United States to showcase their skills and compete regionally. The top 12 teams from each qualifier will earn the right to advance to the 2024 NIT, where they will compete at the highest level for national recognition.

Over recent years, dozens of teams from Pennsylvania and beyond have converged on Happy Valley for this event, showcasing the region's vibrant field hockey community. The Happy Valley Sports & Entertainment Alliance invites field hockey enthusiasts, sports fans, and the local community to join the excitement on January 6-7, 2024, at the Nittany Valley Sports Centre.
