Ironman 70.3 PENNSYLVANIA HAPPY VALLEY

IRONMAN® 70.3® Pennsylvania Happy Valley will continue its run in central Pennsylvania through 2029 following the announcement of a new three-year contract extension. The event will return for its fifth year on Sunday, May 23, 2027, and will once again be featured as an Experience Oman IRONMAN Pro Series race, placing Happy Valley among just 16 Pro Series stops around the world.

The announcement follows a milestone year for the event in 2026, when Happy Valley hosted the IRONMAN 70.3 North American Championship and welcomed the Experience Oman IRONMAN Pro Series to central Pennsylvania for the first time. More than 1,700 age-group athletes competed alongside an international professional field, bringing championship-level competition and global exposure to the region.

Athletes take on a 1.2-mile swim in the Foster Joseph Sayers Reservoir at Bald Eagle State Park, followed by a scenic 56-mile bike ride through Centre and Clinton Counties. The race concludes with a 13.1-mile run across the Penn State University campus and a memorable finish outside Beaver Stadium, home of the Nittany Lions.

IRONMAN 70.3 Pennsylvania Happy Valley continues to be a community-wide celebration, showcasing the strength, spirit and hospitality of #HappyValleyPA. Local businesses, volunteers, public safety agencies and community partners come together to create a welcoming experience for athletes and spectators while generating meaningful economic impact throughout the region.

With the event now secured through 2029 and the IRONMAN Pro Series returning in 2027, Happy Valley continues to strengthen its reputation as a destination for world-class endurance events and sports tourism.
