Smackdown & Sketches

Join us for Smackdown and Sketches, a unique two-day event combining comic art and wrestling.

Hosted at C3 Sports in State College, PA, the event will feature live professional wrestling, comic creators, artists, vendors, special guests, and more. All proceeds will support the mission of Panels of Hope bringing hope and encouragement to children facing chronic illnesses.

Panels of Hope was founded by a 16-year-old immunocompromised patient who, during a long hospital stay, saw firsthand how difficult and isolating it could be for children facing serious health challenges. Today, Panels of Hope uses the power of comics, art, and storytelling to bring encouragement and joy to children battling chronic illnesses. The organization creates and distributes a quarterly comic newspaper featuring artwork from creators across the nation, with the goal of inspiring hope, encouraging literacy, and reminding children and families that they are not alone.
