BRYCE JORDAN CENTER TO KICK OFF AMERICA250PA’S COMMONWEALTH CONCERT SERIES

The Bryce Jordan Center will host the kickoff of the highly anticipated Commonwealth Concert Series—where “we put the PA in Party”—with a free, star-studded concert featuring multi-platinum country artist Cole Swindell and special guest Gabby Barrett on Saturday, May 23, 2026.

As part of America250PA’s statewide celebration leading up to the nation’s 250th anniversary, the Commonwealth Concert Series delivers a once-in-a-generation musical experience across Pennsylvania. The five-city series highlights the Commonwealth’s rich history and cultural identity while uniting communities through live music, storytelling, and shared pride.

The State College stop, “A Salute to Service and Sacrifice,” will take place at the Bryce Jordan Center, honoring the region’s deep-rooted traditions while bringing fans together for an unforgettable night of music.

A chart-topping force in country music, Cole Swindell has built a career defined by hit songwriting and fan-favorite anthems. With more than a dozen singles and multiple No. 1 hits including “Chillin’ It,” “You Should Be Here,” and “She Had Me at Heads Carolina,” Swindell has established himself as one of the genre’s most consistent hitmakers. His dynamic live show returns to the Bryce Jordan Center following previous appearances alongside Jason Aldean in 2019 and Thomas Rhett in 2023—this time as a headlining act for the landmark statewide celebration.

Joining Swindell is Pennsylvania native and multi-platinum star Gabby Barrett, one of country music’s fastest-rising voices. With more than 3.7 billion global streams and breakout hits like the 8x platinum “I Hope” and chart-topping “The Good Ones,” Barrett continues to captivate audiences with her powerhouse vocals and deeply personal songwriting.

“These concerts are about more than music—they’re about celebrating Pennsylvania’s role at the heart of the American story,” said Al Karosas, General Manager of the Bryce Jordan Center. “We’re proud to kick off this historic series right here in Happy Valley and welcome fans for an incredible, free experience.”

Taking place every Saturday from Memorial Day weekend through the end of June 2026, the Commonwealth Concert Series brings world-class artists to communities across the state. Designed to be accessible to all, these large-scale performances are completely free to attend.

While this concert is free of charge, a ticket is required for entry. Tickets will be available to the general public beginning April 17 at 12:00 p.m. at Ticketmaster.com and will be limited to Pennsylvania residents through May 1. Each order is limited to four tickets (two adults and two minors), and all minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Fans are encouraged to sign up for updates at america250pa.org/Concert_Series.

Join America250PA and fellow Pennsylvanians for an unforgettable night of music, heritage, and celebration as the Commonwealth looks ahead to this historic milestone.
