STATE COLLEGE, PA — Participants of IRONMAN 70.3 Pennsylvania Happy Valley can now train for the challenge from the comfort of their homes using FulGaz, a cutting-edge virtual training app.
FulGaz connects to smart bikes allowing users to practice over hundreds of routes with the touch of a button. The app now features the official biking route for IRONMAN 70.3 Pennsylvania Happy Valley allowing athletes to practice the scenic and demanding course virtually.
The 56-mile route begins after the swim segment at Joseph Sayers Lake, with riders exiting Bald Eagle State Park. From there, the journey winds through the boroughs and townships of Happy Valley. Cyclists will head northeast through Mill Hall, biking through rolling farmland, and tackle climbs over Hublers Ridge and Pleasant Gap. After descending into Centre Hall, the route continues through more countryside before turning north toward Penn State’s campus. The ride concludes with an arrival at IRONMAN Village, next to Beaver Stadium. This virtual experience was filmed during the 2024 race allowing athletes to get the most out of their ride.
Not only does the immersive video give riders a sense of the Happy Valley scenery, but it also replicates the terrain's rolling hills, inclines, and even gravel paths. The addition of the Happy Valley course to FulGaz provides participants a realistic way to prepare for the 55.5-mile biking segment, typically completed in a little over two hours.
The IRONMAN 70.3 Pennsylvania Happy Valley bike route on FulGaz has been ridden over 125 times and will continue to grow as time inches closer to Ironman 2025. Don’t miss this great opportunity to practice cycling at home for the Happy Valley Ironman taking place on June 15, 2025.
