Volunteering at the 2025 IRONMAN® 70.3® Pennsylvania Happy Valley: A Chance to Make a Difference

Happy Valley, PA--The 2025 IRONMAN® 70.3® Pennsylvania Happy Valley triathlon is fast approaching, and while athletes will be giving their all on race day, volunteers are the unsung heroes who help make this event truly unforgettable. If you’re looking for a way to get involved in one of the most exciting events of the year, volunteering is the perfect opportunity to show your support and be part of something special.

In 2023 and 2024, over 2,000 volunteers helped make the IRONMAN® 70.3® Pennsylvania Happy Valley a success, and this year, we need even more volunteers to support the athletes and ensure everything runs smoothly. Registration for volunteers is now open, and there’s plenty of room for you to get involved.

Volunteers at IRONMAN® events are essential to the overall experience. As Amy Pollock, IRONMAN 70.2 PA HV Volunteer Director, explained on Studio 814, “It takes a village to make something like this happen.” From directing athletes on the course to manning water stations, handing out gear, and offering a cheerful word of encouragement, every volunteer plays a vital role in supporting the race. Race Director Josh Cone emphasizes just how crucial volunteers are, noting, “We need about 1,000 volunteers to make this event happen.” By joining the team, you’ll help create an atmosphere of support, energy, and excitement that fuels the athletes’ journeys.

But volunteering at an IRONMAN® event isn’t just about supporting others; it’s an unforgettable, behind-the-scenes experience that offers a deeper understanding of what it takes to make such a massive event come to life. As Volunteer Director Amy Pollock described on Studio 814, “Being able to see these folks accomplish such a great feat… it’s amazing.” Whether you’re assisting at the start line, guiding runners through the 13.1-mile course, or helping with athlete registration, you’ll be part of a dedicated team that brings the IRONMAN® spirit to life.

If you want to be part of the action but can’t compete, volunteering is the perfect way to get involved. Any questions? Feel free to reach out to im70.3penn@ironmanvolunteers.com
